Was it easy to buy with shared ownership?

It was a really easy process, Moat were really helpful by putting me in touch with the relevant people to discuss mortgage opportunities and the mortgage team helped with solicitors. All in all it was a simple, smooth process.  

What led you to buy through shared ownership?

We wanted to find a way onto the property ladder and rent was increasing in our current place. After a bit of research and applying online, I was then in touch with Ben who helped me with the process and supported us every step of the way

How did you find the buying your home with Moat? 

Everything was easy, Ben was amazing, he always returned my calls and emails and as we were buying off-plan even sent photos of what the property would look like. He put us in touch with a solicitor team who were super helpful and supportive. It was all great from start to finish, the only thing that could have been better was being able to see the showroom prior but there were reasons behind the delay, which were explained and Ben kept us up to date

When you saw your new home for the first time, how did it make you feel?

I didn't view my home until about two weeks before I moved in, so I purchased it off-plan. However when i got to see it, it was amazing feeling knowing this was our home and it looked so lovely! We were thrilled with the decor as it matched what we had in mind for furniture.

What is your favourite thing about your new home and why?

I would have to say the fact that it is ours and we were able to purchase on our own with no more worries of renting and the fear of uncertainty.

Looking back, what advice would you give to someone considering shared ownership as a housing option?

I would encourage anyone to go for shared ownership. It is the easiest way to get a step on the property ladder and Ben makes the process very easy and simple. He was very encouraging and supports you every step of the way. Even since moving in he is happy to answer any queries.
